[update] Flickr - 田子坊 post (night-version)

Since I am in a freaking good mood because 1) Yahoo Mail looks sooooo good and 2) other reasons, I will post the whole batch in this post! Well, there's only four, anyways, but heck, for all you lazy bums, this'll be a bonus :)

You are my shining star...sort of.

As always, the rest of my photostream is here! :D

...Now that I've posted, I feel kind of sad that I have to do my AP World packet. I've barely even looked at it. Oh well. There's always journalism work week to look forward to :)

[update] Flickr - 田子坊 post

Qty: 3

This is one of my favorites of the thousand pictures I took on my trip.
before the king's throne (and gaze)
before the king's throne (and gaze)
I carefully maintain distance between the king and his throne, but announce my presence all the same by slowly, cautiously taking out my camera. He merely glances at me in a rather indifferent, nonchalant manner. Maybe even bored. So I take it that he has no objections to my intrusion or motive, and continue to do as I please. I shoot. Twice, as a matter of fact. And the job is done.

The rest, as always, is at my PHOTOSTREAM!!

*UPDATE*

The past Saturday night, I edited a great deal of my documentary which I'm, for the time being, titling "summersweetness 2009". As I read through the entire thing for what seemed to be the tenth time (or more), I thought that I should delete a good 3-5 pages, totally about my work, as I wondered whether anybody would be interested in reading so many pages about my freaking out, being bored, being busy, and etcetera. However, after a while of debating, I've decided to just cut out the work-related sections and put them as optional-reads at the end of the documentary :D Anyways, that ought to speed up editing by a great deal, since that's 3-5 pages off the load. And no, I'm not going to bother editing those work-related sections, since it's pretty pointless (for those of you that will read it, you'll understand why). Other than that, there's nothing much else to note. Oh, wait.

Remember the physical photo album I whipped up nearing the end of the school semester (beginning of summer)? It's now filled with photographs of my trip.

Anyhoo, that's my update for thus far. Phew.

There is a stormcloud of epic proportions looming outside. The bottom of it is flat. I am current at the HSC. It looks amazing. I'm tempted to abandon my post and get out there with my camera. >_< Hopefully I won't miss it. I'm the only one manning the front office, so it's a bit tedious...

[update] Flickr - The (mini) S. Korea + More Post

I bring about... NINE new photographs~!! (six of which being some of the South Korea shots). This is certainly an interesting batch, in my opinion. Here are some teasers/previews/whatever you wanna call them:

I ♥ Hongdae (and the blue giraffe)

and anyways.... I also bring a once-in-a-blue-moon-portrait (I hardly take portraits, and actually, this is a courtesy of Chrissy, feat. moi):

~AND THE BEST PART OF THE POST (classifying by rarity):
Iridescent Cloud
Iridescent Cloud
This is THE phenomenon of it all. Man, Shanghai's got it all--total solar eclipses in addition to iridescent (in my opinion, rainbow) clouds. >_< photostream!!! (I think this is becoming my, like, motto now... -_-;)

***NOTE***
To those that think they're up to it and wish to read my twenty-something (pending) paged travel documentary, please notify me on whether you want to read the clean version (I wouldn't blame you) or the raw version (major heavy language issues) :P Lately I've been busy trying to get my sorry self to finish, err, start most of my summer homework, so the finalized version of my documentary (which still hasn't gotten a proper title yet) will be put on a temporary, uh, hold. Of course, in the meantime, I'll still be editing and taking out useless stuff and adding more stuff and all that jazz & pizazz, so don't worry. You'll get the finalized copy by mid-September. So, bear with me and please don't lose your anticipation >_< I'll try to get working to roll this out. In the meantime, you can help by considering/answering a thing or two:

1) CLEAN or RAW?
2) any suggestions for what my documentary's TITLE should be?

Back

China is awesome. South Korea is awesome. ASIA is LOVE.

I am of course disheartened to say that I am back from Asia. Let me go over the itinerary of my travel:

1) Shanghai
2) Nanjing
3) Shanghai
4) South Korea (Seoul)
5) Shanghai
6) U.S. ("home")

Of course, very shortly, my twenty-three (or was it twenty-four?) pages of documentary of my travels will be somehow relayed to all who may wish to read it. But first, I must come up with a proper title for it...

At any rate, hopefully I've given everyone enough teasers of Asia. But, from here on, since I'm back, I will be ruthlessly posting my photographs onto Flickr. :D Hope you guys will enjoy!

Let me commence with the usual Flickr stats:

Thus far, there are 20 new photos of Shanghai.
Five uploaded fresh just now.
