we arted for four hours
We convened in my dorm around 2 p.m.
After we had dinner, Lauren joined us.
And we arted some more and then left to watch Drive, but then my friends spelled out silly things with the random gourds in my suite's common area:
Well.

Look who we've got today!
I love how I live in the city but still manage to bump into my friends on the streets.
She was in a hurry because she was running late for a class, but she indulged me anyway and stopped for me to photograph her. For someone who claimed to have no idea what to do/how to act for such a spontaneous shot, she’s pretty cool, don’t you think?

the following is in chronological order
SUNDAY night
I sometimes confuse myself and remember that I have a girly side to me, somewhere deep down inside.
MONDAY morning/evening
It’s really sad (because it’s probably a no-brainer task for everyone) but I feel so happy and accomplished looking at those clean edges and lines I made with masking tape.
I think what I’m doing with this project is more me than my previous project (aside from it having a monochromatic color scheme revolving around blue) in that this is definitely more design-y, straight-forward, and minimalist. Also, #bubblegumvibes is one of my favorite color schemes.
I’m predicting this now, though: Norris is going to shred it apart (figuratively, or even literally—I wouldn’t put it past him) during the crit though because it’ll be too minimalist for his tastes.

HAIM
The sister-trio HAIM just released a new song a few days ago called "Don't Save Me."
If you haven't heard of HAIM before, you should really get familiar with their music because I'm in love with them (especially the sister who does the lead vocals because hot damn her voice is so sexy) and their music makes me want to dance around in my bedroom like the teenage qurl that I am.

Royall & Company
OCTOBER 17, 2012
My Art Worlds class had the pleasure and privilege of perusing through Royall & Company, the private collection of Bill and Pam Royall. Out of all the galleries I've visited since setting foot in Richmond, this has got to be my favorite by far. It's a very eclectic collection, but I really immensely like nearly all of the pieces.
