YSL/SLP

According to journalist Vanessa Friedman, Hedi Slimane's first collection for "Saint Laurent Paris," which was a private, invitation-only (and buyer-exclusive) event, harks back to the house's roots:
"The resort collection is said to be inspired by the early days of Saint Laurent — think of the famous photo Helmut Newton took for French Vogue in 1975 on Rue Aubriot, with a nude woman in stilettos standing next to another woman in a skinny tux with a blouse dripping a bow if you want the quick-twitch reference."

One of my favorite Helmut portraits next to the lone woman in the Le Smoking, also part of the same series. So I guess that's a good/nice thing. But clearly I'm still not a fan of the house's name change.

Long live the king.
